HOW IS YOUR DATA STORED?

Winterberry Wool is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

HOW SECURE IS OUR PAYMENT METHODS?

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

At all times, Winterberry Wool will do our very best to protect your personal information...but please be aware that we cannot guarantee the complete security of your information. Any transaction will be at your own risk. Once received by us, your information will be used under strict security, in an attempt to prevent unauthorised access. We would like to remind our customers that any orders that are placed, using an unsecured network, may place your personal data at risk, so we recommend the use of a secure wireless network, only.

Very rarely, we may send you an email, but will never request your personal information, security information or log-in details. If you do happen to receive such an email, which appears to be from Winterberry Wool, and you suspect it be fraudulent, please do not respond or open..and contact us immediately..

WHO MIGHT WINTERBERRY WOOL SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH?

However, we will keep the personal data, including details of the product you purchase, which you provide to us when you place an order with us for six years so we can comply with our legal and contractual obligations, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Glossary

 

Consent: In specific situations, we can collect and process your data with your consent.

For example, where you have registered to receive email notifications and/or promotional information from us the basis of our processing will be subject to your consent, which we will ask for and can be withdrawn by customers at any time.  Where consent is the only legal basis for processing, we will cease to process data after consent is withdrawn.

Contractual obligations: In order to carry out a transaction, both us at Winterberry Wool and you, our customer, are required to follow our sides of the “transaction contract”..a legal responsibility.

For example: Should you wish to place on order with Winterberry Wool, we are required to collect your banking  details, for payment.

Cookies: A cookie is usually a small file of text. It is given an ID tag and is stored onto the browser of the computer, tablet or mobile phone or on the programme data subfolder. They are created when the user accesses the browser to visit a website, and keep track of the movements within that site.
